Job Description
Baggallini, the fast-growing handbag and travel accessory
marketer with a reputation for making order beautiful,
has an immediate opening for a National Sales Manager
based in our suburban Portland, OR, offices.

The experienced sales professional filling this critical
role will provide management direction for our
independently contracted sales force and our internal
customer service department; develop, implement and
execute strategic sales plans for the sales force based
on geographic territory, distribution channel and/or
assigned account list; be directly responsible for the
profitable attainment of the annual operating plan,
including top line sales growth, margin objectives,
inventory management and relationship building; and
serve as direct sales contact for key customers. The
position reports to the Vice President Sales -
baggallini.

Our National Sales Manager will also:
*Select, develop and coach a professional sales team to
meet or exceed specific goals for profitable revenue
growth while providing leadership through effective
communication of vision, active coaching and development.
*Develop and implement annual sales plans for sales team;
and provide managerial support to meet/exceed monthly,
quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
*Refine and implement the company's sales and service
processes to establish a culture of consultative selling
to decision-makers at all levels.
*Secure, cultivate and maintain sustainable, profitable
and trusting business relationships with executive
decision makers at targeted accounts.
*Pursue identified prospects, participating actively in
the planning and sales process for new business
opportunities.
*Partner with the Key Account Manager in the development
of key customer relationships as needed.
*Collaborate with marketing resources and the sales
leadership team to define overall sales strategy and to
develop products and solutions responsive to customers'
needs.
*Negotiate and approve purchase agreements.
*Establish effective relationships and collaborations
with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer
Service, etc.) to address key business issues and
opportunities.
*Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust
sales strategies.
*Attend tradeshows, customer appointments in the field
and sales meetings as appropriate.
*Perform all other duties as needed or required to
maintain and grow profitable business within the assigned
account base.

The successful candidate will possess: a bachelor's
degree or equivalent with and a minimum of five years
sales or customer service management experience in a
consumer product industry; consultative selling skills;
retail experience; strong oral, written and presentation
skills; a willingness to travel up to 25% of the time;
strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word - Excel -
PowerPoint) and a high comfort level with ERP systems and
other databases.
